People use the chat rooms and private chat to meet up with women & men in their local area, with live chat you get a chance to find out a bit about the person in real time, often both parties will have a webcam so you get to see them as well. It’s not a face to face as such but it gives you an indication of the person your talking with over and above IM or email. The behaviour in the rooms will vary depending on what type of site your on. If it’s an adult site you can expect a little more expicit chat and even behaviour on the cams. Nudity and other sex acts are “common” on adult sites so you need to be prepared for that, there is always the option to go “private” and you can then set the pace so to speak.
